Industrial Supply Association Announces Iowa Machinery as the Recipient of the 2009 Corporate Citizenship Award Iowa Machinery to be honored during the Industrial Supply Conference and Trade Fair in San Antonio, Texas. Eldridge, Iowa April 1, 2009 – The Industrial Supply Association (ISA) has announced the recipient of its 2009 Corporate Citizenship Award. Iowa Machinery has been so honored because of its outstanding effort to promote and reward an organizational commitment to its surrounding community, enrich its employees or contribute to environmental improvement or conservation efforts. Iowa Machinery will receive their award of a stunning Steuben Crystal Glass American Eaglet and a $1,000 scholarship to donate to a student or university of their choice during the Opening Session of the Industrial Supply Conference and Trade Fair. The Conference and Trade Fair is being held from April 20 to April 22 in San Antonio, Texas. To receive this prestigious award, Iowa Machinery submitted information detailing the company’s His First Foundation. The His First Foundation was established in 2001 to come along side Iowa Machinery employees in their charitable efforts. Employees of Iowa Machinery can make requests to support organizations as a group or individual and the His First Foundation will match contributions 100%. To match these contributions, the company has elected to contribute 10% of its yearly earnings to the His First Foundation. Whether it is volunteering, gifts in kind, or financial contributions, Iowa Machinery encourages all of its employees to bring forth recommendations for organizations or individuals that might be assisted by donations from the His First Foundation. In addition to providing monetary contributions to organizations, Iowa Machinery has added a “Charitable Time Off” benefit for all employees. This “Charitable Time Off” benefits allows each employee to take 8-hours paid time-off per year that they can use to volunteer with an approved charity of their choice. Among individual contributions, Iowa Machinery has also chosen The Make-a-Wish Foundation as their company charitable concern.
